JVB Financial Announces Key Addition to its Dealer Unit in Boca Raton

Boca Raton, FL - April 26, 2011 - JVB Financial, a subsidiary of Institutional Financial Markets, Inc., is pleased to announce that Jim Powell will join the firm May 16, 2011. Bringing with him 20 years of industry experience, Mr. Powell will join the JVB Boca Raton office as Senior Vice President, Head of Agency Trading. In this capacity, he will provide leadership to JVB's Agency department, which will include current JVB employees David Epstein and Kelly Stapleton. In addition, Jim will join JVB's senior management in identifying and building out other strategic opportunities.

Prior to bringing his extensive Agency trading experience to JVB, Mr. Powell most recently served as Managing Director, Co-Head of Agency Trading at Incapital, LLC, responsible for all Agency relationships and managing Agency retail notes programs for Freddie Mac and TVA. He also spent ten years serving as a First Vice President at LaSalle Bank/ABN AMRO, where he was responsible for Agency trading, capital markets and issuer relationship management. While at LaSalle, Jim also was instrumental in the launch of Agency retail notes programs for Freddie Mac and TVA. Prior to LaSalle, he spent seven years at Freddie Mac as a Debt Portfolio Manager responsible for debt issuance and management, and derivative execution. Mr. Powell holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and an MBA in Finance from The George Washington University.
